Digital Tool Data was the focus of this year‘s AMB
At the AMB 2016, we presented many innovations from the product lines Tool-Designer Suite and Tool-Designer Sketcher Suite.
The specialist audience was particularly interested in Tool-Designer ReCAD that we presented at AMB 2016 for the first time. It was specifically developed for rapid re-engineering of cutting tools and enables transferring of STL data to reusable 3D STEP models. The simple and uncomplicated user guidance is the largest advantage of it. In no time, TD ReCAD creates real 3D surface models from 3D data of grinding simulations or measuring machines.
Also the extensions of the TD Sketcher met with a great response from the numerous trade fair visitors. The new TD Sketcher CAM software for the generation of 3D basic body models for the production convinced many interested parties. The calculation of the surfaces and effective cutting lengths for the PCD inserts and the tool volume facilitates the rapid calculation of the semi-finished product costs. The seamless integration into the TD Sketcher DIAMOND also has to be mentioned positively.
The software and engineering package Tool-Data Converter convinced our AMB visitors as a budget-friendly solution for the conversion and completion of the data of standard and special tools based on TD Sketcher 3D. The innovative concept of data control and processing enables the creation of 3D basic models according to DIN 4003 / ISO 13399-3D as well as the 2D drawing in the BMG layer structure 3.0.
We left AMB 2016 with very good feedback and new interesting projects. Now it is time for processing and then the release of the new TD Sketcher version lies ahead.
